Sarah Palin has been a top target of the Democrats since she ran as Senator John McCain’s vice presidential candidate.  They lost the election, and she has since resigned as governor of Alaska due to the continued onslaught of complaints by Democrat operatives.  So NOW why are the Democrats so steamed?

The AGIA Railroad

On August 2nd, the Alaska State Senate will vote whether to support Governor Palin’s Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA). This will be the last hurdle to create a contractual relationship with TransCanada, a Canadian pipeline company, to do the preliminary paperwork and accept shipping commitments from gas companies.

Congressional Earmarks for Alaska

Governor Sarah Palin has said that Alaska needs to depend less on congressional earmarks.
Some folks view earmarks as a subversion of the legislative process; others say earmarks are a constitutionally allowed way for congress to direct funds so they are spend on their intended projects.
